Today is an extra special day for our team. For the first time in WinShape Camps history, we are pre-releasing our summer theme song on iTunes. To say we are excited would be a major understatement.
My favorite part about the songs we write is that they do not start out with a cool beat or a catchy tune. Our theme songs always begin as a truth that we want to communicate through song. The picture often looks like two people, one guitar, and multiple pages of countless words and phrases. It is simple and sweet.
The end goal of an upbeat/fun song is in sight- but for a short period of time the song is stripped down to the message we feel the Lord wants to speak through us this summer. It is a special process that I am thankful to be a part of.
We hope that Top of the World makes you want to sing at the top of your lungs & dance like no one is watching. We also kind of hope that it gets stuck in your head on repeat all day. But most importantly, we hope Top of the World reminds you of the truth that, through hope in Jesus, we can see an eternal perspective regardless of the circumstances we face.
